About Evi Yoga
Who is Evi Watson
I was born and raised in Athens, Greece and have been practicing yoga since 2000. I began my yoga journey with Ashtanga yoga as a way to improve my core strength and flexibility for rock climbing. I moved to Seattle in 2004 and fell in love with Power Vinyasa. I love what yoga has done for me both physically and mentally, allowing me to see life with an open mind, with renewed strength and confidence.
I received my RYT-200 Yoga Alliance certification in 2009 and have been teaching ever since. I have also completed level 1 & level 2 teacher trainings with Baron Baptiste. I am a graduate of Shakti's Teacher Assisting Program (TAP), Advanced Teacher Assisting Program and Teacher Mentorship Program (TMP). Most recently I graduated from the advanced teacher training with Anna Forest. I have attended multiple teacher-trainings and workshops with a variety of teachers and styles and continue my path as a student first, while sharing my passion for yoga with my students.
Yoga Philosophy
My teaching philosophy is to practice yoga with an open mind and a light spirit with no judgments. My classes are challenging yet accessible to everyone, with an emphasis on healthy postural alignment and breathe. I lead flow inspired classes that help students develop flexibility, core stability and strength, all in a safe and fun environment.
"Victory to our spirits, peace to all beings."
